Simon Templeman Interview

Simon Templeman is an actor who has appeared on television since 1979, staring in TV shows such as Star Trek: The Next Generation, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, Monk, Angel, 24, Charmed and is now starring in The Neighbors.

John - Hi Simon thank you for talking to us today we are big fans on yours.

 

 

John - When you were growing up what were the TV shows that got you hooked watching them?

 

Simon - Favorite tv show as a kid definitely Dr Who. The 1st with William Hartnell as the Doctor.

 

 

John - When did you first realise that you wanted to work in the world of television?

 

Simon - Seeing the Royal Shakespeare company at Stratford. Helen Mirren on stage in a bikini in 2 gentlemen of Verona.

 

 

John - Do you remember your first day working on a TV show, what was the show and how did your first day go?

 

Simon - The Talisman for the BBC. 1979. Walter Scott period drama, me in a tabard and page boy wig!

 

John - Who influenced you in your career?

 

Simon - Always admired actors who work stage film and TV. Alan Rickman Muchael Gambon.

 

 

John - Over the years who has been the most famous person you have worked with or met?

 

Simon - Once stood on a sound stage with Elizabeth Taylor till a lowly producer told me to MOVE!

 

John - When did you first hear about The Neighbors and were your thoughts when you first read the script?

 

Simon - Read the script to the show for Larry Bird when it made me laugh I knew I really wanted to do it.

 

 

John - What did you think about the other members of the cast when you first heard who you will be be working with?

 

Simon - Have always loved Jami Gertz and knew Lenny from all his great work on TV and films.

 

 

John - What is your favourite The Neighbors episode or the one you had the most fun filming and why?

 

Simon - Favorite episode would be homecoming in season 2. The band reunites!

 

 

John - Do you remember your first day filming?

 

Simon - I don't remember first day of filming just so happy to be doing the pilot and here we are ending Season 2.

 

 

John - Has anything funny ever happened or gone wrong while filming live that you remember and how did you react and carry on?

 

Simon - My karate pants fell down as we were filming. Probably available on gag reel.

 

 

John - What projects are you working on and where can we expect to see you next?

 

Simon - No idea what happens next, 5 more seasons would be nice.
