John - Hello Simon thank you for talking to us today.

John - When you were growing up what were the TV shows that got you hooked watching them?

Simon - Doctor Who, Naturally. Star Trek, Space 1999, Thunderbirds. Nature programmes with David Attenborough and Jacque Cousteau

John - When did you first realise that you wanted to work in the world of television?

Simon - Not until my mid 20s

John - Were you always a fan of scifi?

Simon - Yes, my Grandfather was an engineer and always believed everything was possible. It sort of rubbed off on me.

John - Who is your favourite Doctor and why?

Simon - Troughton - I was about 5 when Hartnell changed to Troughton and my imagination went wild. I loved the story lines and Troughton's excentricity.

John - What was your reaction when you got the part in Doctor who?

Simon - Sheer delight and fear at the same time.

John - What were your thoughts when you first read the script on Doctor who?

Simon - Oh my God am I really going to be in this....!!

John - What did you think about the other members of the cast when you first heard who you will be working with?

Simon - Again a mixture of utter pleasure and excitement and absolute fear

John - Do you remember your first day filming how did it go?

Simon - I was very nervous but was working with the fantastic Alex Kingston. But the whole team were delightful.

John - What is your favourite episode and why?

Simon - There are so many.... forget the ones with Dorium - in series six The Girl Who Waited. Wonderful performances, hugely imaginative and touching story, well written.

John - Which other Doctor Who character would you choose if you were not Dorium Maldovar?

Simon - The Master

John - What projects are you working on and where do we expect to see you next?

Simon - My show, 'My Dalek Has A Puncture' is Touring the UK from 4 April - check my websitewww.fisherbecker.info . Also start filming 'PUPPY LOVE' a new comedy for BBC4 in May - due for broadcast in the Autumn
