John - Hi Gail first of all thank you for talking to us today we are big fans of yours!

​John - When you were growing up what were the TV shows that got you hooked watching them?



Gail - was hooked on Monkey on BBC2. I even managed to get my hands on the Monkey soundtrack. I loved that show so much!   Sings...... "born from an egg on a mountain top......"

 



​John - When did you first realise that you wanted to work in the world of television?



​Gail - When I first saw Star Wars...I wanted to be Princess Leia. If I couldn't go to space with Han and Luke.....I would do something on the telly box!





​John - Do you remember your 1st day working on a TV show, what was the show and how did your 1st day go?



Gail - The 1st show I ever did was on ITV. It was called TIGS, the totally interactive game show.

I remember getting the job and I thought....."how??"  

 

On the first day of live transmission, the director was counting us down to the title sequence and I froze and thought...."bollocks, I don't know how this is happening!" I survived though.





​John - Who influenced you in your career?



Gail - I didn't really have any real influences in my career. I just winged it. I always thought Sally James was cool though.



 

​John - Over the years who has been the most famous person you have worked with or met?



Gail - The most famous person I met.......well, I did a movie show and interviewed everyone from Cameron Diaz to Leonardo DiCaprio, but the most star struck I ever got was....Robert DeNiro and David Bowie.



 

​John - Has anything funny ever happened or gone wrong while filming live that you remember and how did you react and carry on?



Gail - Once on live TV, I was presenting with Ronan Keaton and a viewer rang in and called him a rude name. I didn't know what to do. We cut the caller off and I just talked nervously as poor Ronan looked she'll shocked. Oh and a rabbit peed on me.





​John - When you were presenting on The Gadget Show what was your favourite Gadget they gave you to test, and what is the one gadget you cant live without today?



​Gail - I loved doing the gadget show....I don't think I could possibly pick one gadget above others, but I couldn't live without my iPad. I sleep with it by my side......sad girl!



​

​John - What projects are you currently working on and where can your fans see you next?



​Gail - I am currently working on 2 books. A grown up novel nada punk fairy tale. I'm also doing stand up and writing columns for a newspaper. Got something exciting I am doing........watch this space, I'll be back!
